Records returned from transactions and balances endpoints will have an account type field

  • airtime, depository-type account, specific to airtime/data transactions for mobile service providers
  • depository, a savings or checking-type account
  • loan, a term loan account. Typically characterized by a full loan life cycle, including a discrete loan approval event followed by repayments and ending in the loan being repaid or defaulted. See Labels
  • overdraft, accounts that allows the account holders to withdraw more money than what's available, up to a certain limit pre-approved by the bank
  • revolvingloan, a type of loan account where the borrowed sum need not be repaid in full before topping it up with more funds. Examples include airtime credit advance (eg. Okoa Jahazi) or a loan account for depository overdraft (eg. Fuliza)
  • termdepository, accounts that allow customers to deposit a lump sum of money for a fixed period (tenure) at a predetermined interest rate
